terms & conditions of service

This is a copy of the statement of terms and conditions that must be
agreed upon submission of a commission request. Signing of agreement will be done
in a separate request form found through the SEND REQUEST
link on this page.


1. REQUEST PROCESSING. By proceeding with submitting the provided request form you are acknowledging that completion and submission of the form DOES NOT GUARANTEE A SURE COMMISSION SLOT. "First come, first serve" applies in the order of processing of requests, and in the completion of a commission, if chosen.


2. DECLINING OF OFFERS. I reserve the right to decline offers, for any of the following reasons (but not limited to):

  1. I do not have the time in my schedule to work to the extent that the client’s request requires.

  2. I find that I do not have the necessary skill to provide a satisfactory product based on the client’s requests and suggestions.

  3. The subject matter of the commission request is against my personal values or tastes.

  4. The client's interactions are those that cause offense or insult upon my person.

The specific reason may or may not be disclosed to the potential client.


3. PAYMENTS. Payment must be given the moment I accept your commission and send you the first draft of the artwork for your approval. During this time, an invoice to your PayPal account will be sent as well. Accepted payment approaches include:

  1. IN FULL (Guarantees nice and fast completion of commission)

  2. IN PARTS (Minimum of 50% down payment upfront; completion of payment required PRIOR to receiving final artwork)

PLEASE DO NOT SEND IN PAYMENTS UNTIL I HAVE CONFIRMED YOUR SELECTION. At the moment, payments are accepted through PayPal only. No taxes or PayPal fees are included in the chargeable commission prices.


4. COPYRIGHT. All copyright of the commissioned art piece will be retained by me as the original artist. The client will be given exclusive permission to display the artwork in any public or private location, with the conditions that:

  1. Due credit is given to me as the artist. (At the very least, my signature must never be edited out).

  2. No undue or major revisions are to be made on the artwork.

  3. No profit is to be made from the artwork.

With this statement, the client agrees that I may use the commissioned artwork for public advertisements and portfolios published either online or in print, and without any limitations. I, on the other hand, will guarantee to my utmost ability that the client will enjoy exclusive access and use of the full, high resolution artwork in public. This includes applying watermarks, display of only low-resolution images publicly, and the non-selling or non-use of the artwork for my own profit, as courtesy to the client, even as I retain the full commercial rights to it.

That said, with this agreement being a mere courtesy, I am still able to use the artwork for my own profit anytime I deem fit.

In cases where the client wishes to own all the commercial rights to the artwork with the intention of gaining profit, then they may buy those rights from me at 300% of the original commission price, plus the price for the commission itself.

Personal or private commissions will be exempted from my advertising or commercial use, but the client has to let me know that this is the case beforehand.


5. LIMITATIONS. The following are subjects I will not accept in the commission request:

  1. Gore

  2. Porn

  3. Triggering subjects (Suicide, self-harm)

  4. Racism, discrimination

  5. Human or animal abuse

  6. Blasphemy to any religion

  7. Politically-charged themes (especially the divisive kind)

  8. Any other subject that I may find personally distasteful, disturbing, or insulting.

Inclusion of any of the mentioned will immediately guarantee non-selection of commission request.


6. TERMINATION OF CONTRACT. The conditions of this contract will be naturally terminated once the commissioned artwork has been completed to the satisfaction of, and has been confirmed received by the client. All due payments to the artist must have been settled, as well.

If the client chooses to prematurely terminate the contract, then the amount to be refunded will be based on the progress of the artwork upon termination:

  1. FULL REFUND will be given if the artwork is at the drafting stage.

  2. ONLY 50% OF FULL PAYMENT will be refunded if the artwork is already beyond the drafting stage.

  3. LESS THAN 50% OF FULL PAYMENT will be refunded if the artwork is at the coloring / cleaning stage.

On premature termination of contract, the client will not receive the artwork regardless of its progress. I may also offer full refunds if I find that I am unable to complete the commission request for any reason.
